Who will replace Jim Mcdermott in the Washington 7th District?

This election features two "Progressive Democrats" running to replace an extreme-Left Jim Mcdermott, who is retiring after 27 years in the seat.

Pramila Jayapal and Brady Walkinshaw are the candidates. She's a woman of color, widely known as an uncompromising progressive who was recently elected to the State Senate. She's not universally liked though and comes with a reputation for playing hardball. He's a young state rep. who has solid progressive cred while also being known as someone who can get things done.

The local alternative paper, The Stranger, gave Jayapal the primary endorsement, but made it clear that Walkinshaw could just as easily have gotten it. The Seattle Times endorsed him.

I think this is going to be a race with a lot to follow and probably be resolved well after Election Day.
